So it's been 10 years since I graduated from college and finished up my volleyball career. Who knew time would fly by so fast? Luckily, one of my old teammates arranged a USU alumni volleyball reunion. It was so fun and brought so many memories back as we walked down the ramp onto the court and got to tour around campus and all the new athletic facilities and see the sites. It was also fun to show Dave and Nora my old stompin' ground. Here's some fun pics! Here is the new athletic "Hall of Fame" memorial that Utah State recently built. It was so cool seeing all the different sports highlighted and honored through the years. It is a brand new wing that they just had the ribbon cutting ceremony for the week prior. There was a little section about our 1999 team (my senior year) when we were Eastern Division Champs. It felt good to be recognized after all these years. I sure miss my "girls!"
That night we went to the USU vs. Boise volleyball game and got to see how far USU has come. They also honored all the alumni at half time and had us walk out on the court and wave our hands (a last glimpse at fame eh?). Nora did great too and loved all the music, volleyball action and entertainment. Her fascination that night was "Big Blue," (the Aggie mascot) and kept watching him and dancing with him. She didn't even hesitate giving him high five and knuckles either. Overall a very long, but fun and worthwhile day!!!
