What we've been up to Summer Fun!

We took a camping trip down to Bryce Canyon with my sister Alena and her family.  It was beautiful but hot.

We also headed over to Goblin Valley the last day of our trip.  If you have never seen this place, you should!  It's very cool.

While driving, we had to take a lot of stops for the kids (and us too).  This little park in Price was perfect for lunch and play time.

Freedom Festival Race:

Dave's curiosity got the best of him and he wanted to know what all this racing stuff I love to do was all about.  Soooo, he ran his FIRST EVER race with me.  It was the Freedom Festival 10K on July 4th.  This was our "before shot."

Here's Dave finishing up the 6.2 miles (hating it).  He still is asking "What is the big deal with running?  I mean, there's not even a ball involved!"  However, he has agreed to do this same race with me next year, which means he couldn't have hated it too much?  But his goals next year are to train more than the week before, to not have to stop and walk some of it... AND, to beat his wife! :)

Nora has been in HEAVEN this last week!  Her 3 cousins from France have been visiting and staying with us.  Every day they all wake up and play together until bed time.  It's going to be torture when it's time for them to leave us in August.

We are getting a kick out of our garden this year as well.  Nora and I love to go out each morning and see what's ready to pick.  She is such a good little helper.
