That's right, Strat hit his 18 month mark with some fierce force. He turned exactly 18 months old today and boy is this kid growing and EATING! We went to his 18 month check-up and his stats were:
Height: 36 inches (way off the charts)
Weight: 33 lbs (way off the charts)
Clothing size: 3T-4T
Shoe size: 6-7
Immunizations: current
His Doctor says Stratton is the largest 18 month old patient he has ever had! Strat still has his flamin' red hair and a darling personality to go with it. I get stopped all the time at the store or wherever by total strangers that comment how cute his hair and big blue eyes are. Then they always comment how big he is (like this is news to me). Strat cracks up anyone he is around and little kids at church love to come up and say Hi to him and get him to laugh (which is really easy to do). He still isn't quite walking yet, but takes about 3-4 steps by himself unassisted. He just has a lot of weight to haul around so we are hoping he will be walking soon as his doctor is concerned with this developmental milestone. We are working with him diligently so hopefully he will be full on walking in a few weeks. His crawling is lightning fast though which is why he probably isn't excited about this shaky, wobbly, walking thing. He can say about 20 words, loves to read books, go on walks/runs/bike rides, go swimming and eat of course. His favorite show is "Dora the Explorer"..... sigh. He is also very social and doesn't like to be alone. If he suddenly finds himself in a room alone, he will come find us and start playing right along. | Something else I was amazed with one morning.... With no help, he climbed up on the step stool, grabbed a cup, turned on the water and got himself a drink.... and then he dumped water all over himself, the floor, the counter and sister. I was so proud! |

I am LOVING the one of him on the bike. LOVING it. He's adorable. The one of him w/ the plastic hat looks so much like David! I see a lot of David in Chaz, too. I think Strat looks just right. He doesn't look too big, IMO. WE MISS YOU!!!! (P.S. I think Ella only weighs about 5-6 pounds more than he does!)
Could this kid get any cuter?!? At least when people say he's big, you always have a response (Yeah, well what do you expect? His Dad's 6'8''!!) My girls loved looking at the pics too. He'll get the walking down in his own time--I am sure of it!
Heather thanks for posting on your blog so much so we can keep in touch with cute Stratty. He is making progress this the walking. In a few months you'll be saying, "I wish he wasn't walking so well." Thanks for being such a wonderful, awesome Mom. Dad too for being a great DAD. Love, Grandma Black
