Bye bye Helmet!

Last week we had Strat's helmet check-up.  He got his final measurements taken and had some great improvement.  He has been wearing his helmet faithfully for 3 1/2 months now and his asymmetric discrepancy has gone down from 8 mm to 2mm which is now within "normal range."  His doctor said he was free and clear to not wear the helmet anymore.  GREAT NEWS!  He got it off right in time for the summer heat.  And he couldn't be a more happy baby now.  He is sleeping so much better and is doing just great.  We are counting our blessings every day.

See the larger bulge on the right side vs. the left.  This is where the problem was.  Brain growth could not push evenly on the skull with this case of Plagiocephaly.

His plates were pushing upward as well which wasn't good either

No bulge, nice roundness and no plates growing upward.

Here is Stratton with Branch (his Helmet Specialist/Therapist/Technician).  He was wonderful to work with along with the whole Hanger Prothetics Company.  Strat doesn't look very happy in this picture, but I promise he is as thrilled as I am.
